arborits - irrigation specialists - lawn mowing companies and organic & intergrated pest management specialists
for pest and disease problems.
Who we are:
Mary Kay has worked in the horticulture field for
the last 19 years and Niko for the last 14.
Mary Kay studied english and enviromental policy
at Bowling Green State University in Ohio and Niko studied business at Missoula State in Montana.
We are both self taught in Horticulture and continue
to take classes and attend seminars to amend and direct all the knowledge gained by working in the field of
landscaping for most of our working lives.
We are also Plant Amnesty Tested and Referred gardeners.

We were both previously employed with high end, local
landscape companies for over 5 years before starting Box of Rain. Mary Kay was a landscape foreman for the last company.
After being requsted in person by so many clients we
decided it was time to open our own business and established Box of Rain in the fall of 1999 and have been sucessfully helping
to create and maintain great gardens for the past ten years!
( I received my 10th business license in the mail this Sept. of 2008 - what
a Happy Anniversary to have been able to be in business this long!!)
The crew here at Box of Rain consists
of myself and my husband Niko - with occasional temporary help when needed.
As such, our business is built on a ability to offer
high quality service and a personal relationship with our clients. We really get to KNOW your garden and your tastes
and it will always be one or both of us working in your garden.
